Dr Erik M. Happ is an oculoplastic and orbital surgeon in private practice in Pittsburgh, PA, after a lengthy tenure at Allegheny General Hospital, as chairman of ophthalmology and director of neuro-ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmic trauma. He received his medical degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine and completed an ophthalmology residency at the Eye and Ear Institute at UPMC. He then completed an ophthalmology fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital. Dr. Happ is board certified in ophthalmology and has served in the US Navy, receiving the Navy Commendation Medal. He has published dozens of peer-reviewed journal articles and presented numerous posters at national congresses. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Medical Association (AMA), North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS), and Society of US Naval Flight Surgeons (SUSNFS).
